Outreach Specialist, Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses, WDC:

Located at the Evendale campus, the Workforce Development Center serves local businesses and individual students in developing industry-relevant skills for today's changing workplace. As a separate profit center, the WDC supports the college mission by offering custom, fast-paced programs that help people gain skills quickly and set them up for future professional and academic success.

In keeping with the College's mission to provide relevant workforce training, Cincinnati State anticipates continued participation in Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses grant designed to enhance the skill capacity of small businesses in the region, and position Cincinnati State as a leading resource for technical training to support entrepreneurship.

The Outreach Specialist is a grant-funded, part-time position reporting to the Project Manager, Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses and will recruit qualified leads based on program eligibility criteria at Cincinnati State. The program is part of a national investment to unlock the growth and job creation potential of small businesses based on the broadly held view of leading experts that a combination of education, business support services, and access to capital best addresses the barriers to growth for small businesses.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be an effective collaborator and skillful communicator dedicated to building a database of qualified, convertible leads.

This position is dependent on annual, renewable full funding from the Goldman Sachs Foundation.

Essential Duties:

  • Develop lists, sources, and other means of finding qualified leads to share the benefits of participating in the program.
  • Maintain leads in a technology tool and track outcomes of
  • Work closely and effectively with the Project Manager to ensure a strong database of qualified leads is built.
  • Distribute marketing materials provided by Project
  • Manage multiple recruitment priorities and use discretion in interaction with all individuals internally and
  • Understand the breadth of products and services offered by WDC
  • Other duties as

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in business, entrepreneurship, or sales program at an accredited college/university OR
  • Minimum of two years' sales, marketing, or community outreach experience
  • Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Sheets
  • Internet/social media proficiency and strong oral and written communication skills
  • Available to work from a remote location in Cincinnati year round
  • Available for periodic meetings (virtual and in-person) with Project Manager
  • Ability to lift/move packages (up to 25 ) on an intermittent basis

Key Performance Indicators (KPI):

In order to provide clear expectations and promote the Outreach Specialist's success, the essential performance measurements used to evaluate this position is Qualified Leads Captured and Leads Converted to Applicants.

Compensation: $30/Hour

Contract Affiliation: Non-bargaining

Classification: Status: Exempt

Part-time, not to exceed 29 hours per week
